Programme:

Both the Leeds goals came in quick succession with Gary Speed, scoring with a fine header into the bottom corner of the net from a cross from the right from Peter Maguire in the Twenty-fourth minute. Straight from the kick-off United gained possession as Kevin Noteman pounced on an Ossett defensive mistake and rounded the keeper to slot it into an empty net. The home team were under extreme pressure as United surged forward to increase their lead. Peter Maguire shot narrowly over, but Ossett replied with an attack of their own, which saw Justin Sumner to clear a shot from Dawson off the line, before Kevin Noteman saw his twenty-five yard shot tipped over the bar. Half-Time came with Leeds holding the two goal advantage and in the fifty-third minute it was almoost 3-0 as Peter Maguire rattled the cross-bar. But it was Ossett that scored the next goal when Darren Holmes reduced the arrears in the fifty-fifth minute. Jeremy Smith replaced Justin Sumner at Left Back, after seventy minutes. Less than ten minutes later Albion drew level as Lindsay Dawson found the net to equalize as the home team finished the stronger team. The unused Leeds substitutes were goalkeeper Neil Edwards and Simon Old.
